If your company’s events are always held at the office or in the same stuffy conference room or “business room” of a hotel, it might be time to change things up a little bit. No one looks forward to these corporate events, but if you change the location, you’re at least sure to grab a raised eyebrow or two.

One great option in L.A. is choosing from wedding reception venues in the area. You’d be surprised how dressed down and casual many of these look when they’re not dressed to the nines for a wedding. Furthermore, you might be able to save a lot of money by getting them during the week, when weddings don’t happen, but banquet hall owners might be happy to take some easy money.

Due to their size, banquet halls, it can provide you with some fun options as well. You can host lunch there or dinner if it’s going to be an evening affair. And, again, the new location might do a lot to get people’s energy levels up to where you want them to be.

Don’t be hasty with your next venue choice when it comes to planning a company affair. Check around L.A. for a wedding venue and give it a shot.
